    alright so i have USB ports on my monitor....working fine, i use those for my ipod
    today i tried to use them and they just up and stopped working
    not just for my ipod too..my thumb drive too (which i used those for that earlier too)

    all my other USB ports work except those

    something similar to this happened to me a while back when i first got my ipod
    and i fiex it somehow but can't remember

    any tips?

    And a full shut-down/restart doesn't fix it?

    Only thing I can think to do is go into the Device Manager and check for any bad USB ports. If you find a bad one, I think you should be able to right click the propeties for an option to fix it (troubleshooting).

    they all say they are working properly
    and i've done two restarts

    i've even tried what the dell site says and basically reset my monitor and still no worky

    it's not really a ncessity cuz i have like 15 other usb ports on my actual computer
    it's just really nice and easy using the ones on the monitor

    I know it is a simple things, but have you dislodged the USB cable that connects the computer to the monitor?
